Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Malaysia (Bosch AA) partnered with Persatuan Bantuan Bencana Alam (MISAR Malaysia) to conduct a successful flood survival program recently. The program was held at the MISAR Academy in Kuala Lumpur and was attended by more than 200 Malaysians.
“With the increased reports on bad weather due to the monsoon season in Malaysia, this Flood Survival Program is essential to stay safe during floods. It is best for the public to learn these skills to be prepared to keep themselves and their families safe," said Dillion Goh, Country Business Director of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Malaysia.
The program covered a range of topics, including flood preparedness, safety, and survival training. Participants learned how to identify flood-prone areas, develop an evacuation plan, and stay safe during a flood. They also learned how to transport injured and elderly in floods and escape when trapped in submerged cars. The attendees were also educated on car safety, and the importance of having quality car parts, especially during the events of natural disasters like flash floods.
" We are happy to be part of this impactful program to raise awareness on the importance of being equipped with flood safety knowledge as the monsoon season is expected to last until early November”, Goh added.
The flood survival and car safety program was a great success. Participants praised the program for its informative and practical content.
